Is Tesla's autopilot system better than Google's?

I personally think Google fumbles much while Tesla is sprinting. Before we start arguing, heres an article to prove my argument

Elon Reeve Musk, Tesla CEO promised that when Tesla’s Autopilot system had accumulated enough real-world telemetry and data, the company would push out an over-the-air software update to all Tesla vehicles to enable full autonomy. The announcement conjured up a fantastical vision of Musk flipping a switch to suddenly transform all of the Tesla vehicles on the road into self-driving robots. Now it appears that Tesla is hedging its bets by holding this new hardware suite in the wings in the off-chance its current system proves inadequate.
"Self-driving vehicles will play a crucial role in improving transportation safety and accelerating the world’s transition to a sustainable future. Full autonomy will enable a Tesla to be substantially safer than a human driver, lower the financial cost of transportation for those who own a car and provide low-cost on-demand mobility for those who do not."

Google's Autonomous vehicle

Google’s autonomous vehicle,Waymo spin-off is offering families in the Phoenix area the chance to try out its self-driving cars as part of a new pilot ride-sharing program.

The move brings the technology a step closer to becoming a day-to-day reality and coincides with efforts by other entrants into the fast-emerging field who are rapidly expanding the number of autonomous vehicles now on public roads.
