While addressing a crowd of students last Friday, the Russian president spoke about Artifical Intelligence and how he dare saying that it will shape and dominate global politics.
“Artificial intelligence is the future, not only for Russia, but for all humankind,” said Putin, according to RT. “It comes with colossal opportunities, but also threats that are difficult to predict. Whoever becomes the leader in this sphere will become the ruler of the world.”

Stephen Hawking and Elon Musk are two prominent icons who have expressed deep concern about the threat of AI. “AI is the rare case where I think we need to be proactive in regulation instead of reactive. Because I think by the time we are reactive in AI regulation, it’ll be too late. AI is a fundamental risk to the existence of human civilization,” he insisted.
