A company named Soul Machines is pushing forward by creating artificial intelligence programs called BabyX that experience joy and satisfaction from learning in the same way humans do.
Perhaps the whole representation looks like a PlayStation 3 facial render, but the AI itself is cutting edge and very complex behind the scenes. The BabyX AI gurgles like a real baby when it sees someone smile, will follow an objects movement, and can even mimic those movements by drawing with its fingertip.
