Google has unveiled its Pixel Buds, which when put into a users ear allows any language to be translated, in real time.They will retail for just $159 and will be on sale in November
According to Google, the Pixel Buds can translate up to 40 languages using their Translate technology. Basically you just hold the right earbud and say, for example, “help me speak Spanish”. When you next speak, the Buds will then play the translation out loud in Spanish. If someone speaks to you in Spanish, the Buds will play you the translation in english.
It seems like Google is not the first to offer such technology. Skype and Pilot both worked on speech translations. What makes Google's buds more fascinating is its ability of working in real-time, accurate, and affordable.
