Joe Belfiore,Corporate Vice President in the Operating Systems Group at Microsoft through tweets has revealed that they are no longer developing new features or hardware for Windows 10 Mobile. Windows phone users dont expect new features rather they have been providing just bug fixes and security updates for existing users.
Of course we'll continue to support the platform.. bug fixes, security updates, etc. But building new features/hw aren't the focus. 😟 https://t.co/0CH9TZdIFu— Joe Belfiore (@joebelfiore) October 8, 2017
It seems like Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform has been dead over a year now, but the company never gave a public notification. Obviously Microsoft has a back up plan, During the last Build and Inspire conferences by Microsoft, CEO Satya Nadella made it clear that the company now focus on intelligent cloud and intelligent edge meaning that they are now working on cloud-powered technologies that are multi scenario and not just windows focused.
