It have taken a long time for Hoverbikes to become a reality. Police in Dubai plan to use hoverbikes to help them access not easily reachable areas, such as traffic jams. It's not clear when these hoverbikes will start rolling out for the whole public, but Dubai police have ordered an entire fleet from a hover rides manufacturing company Hoversurf, the company that builds them.
